About Us...

I am Ashley Ann Guchereau-Guidroz;

Stay home mom, house wife, permaculture enthusiast, and voice of

G's Wings & Things.

 

My husband Duke and I started with a handful of chicks

in a 12sqft chicken house in 2016.

Since then, we have had the opportunity to work with a list of animals such as

turkey, quail, goat, pig a variety of rabbit and chicken breeds,

in a variety of housing styles.

All in search of the best critters for us to raise

along with how to raise them on our micro farm

in our hot and humid Louisiana climate.

Over the course of the past 5 years we've been able to learn

what makes good stock, what's expected of someone who breeds, and the science that goes into caring for, breeding, and maintaining certain livestock.

 

Today we run a 600sqft barn/aviary

with a brooding capacity of 100 or so chicks,

We have several housing areas in which we raise,

chicken, pheasant, rabbit, a pair of mini pigs,

and plan to expand as we can!  

We have grown a lot,

learned a lot,

and continue growing and learning

every day here on the farm!
